About the Jewish Food Festival

When:                         Sunday, Nov. 2, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Where:                       Reform Congregation Oheb Sholom, 555 Warwick Dr., Wyomissing

 

On the menu:             Breakfast served all day includes bagels, bialys, smoked fish, French toast and homemade New York-style crumb cake.

 

Lunch and dinner     Features chicken, brisket, a wide choice of deli sandwiches and Israeli specialties such as falafel and hummus.

Blintzes, knishes, kugel (a sweet noodle dish), matzo ball soup and chopped liver also are available, along with the ever-popular apple cake and rugelach.

 

Entertainment and shopping: Musicians Karl Hausman and the Chopped Liver River Band will be performing throughout the day. Jewelry and other gift items will be for sale, and art will be on display.

 

What’s new:               Tickets will be good for $10 worth of food or beverages, regardless of whether you’re ordering a platter or purchasing food a la carte. Tickets will be sold in advance by RCOS members, but none will be sold at the door. Guests without tickets may make purchases with cash.

 

A word of advice:      Get there early for the best selection of food.
